Gold Bentley Hummer H2

Only in Dubai will you see a monstrosity like this gold covered Hummer H2 with a front end resembling a Bentley. We’ve seen some ridiculous modifications to cars and trucks, but this one has to top them all with the interior alone. Inside you will find a pink and wood theme with lighting in the roof that looks like it came from a house! The 24-inch or larger rims are the only normal looking aftermarket part on this car, however even those have an orange or gold background to match the truck. Although it does look goldish in color, it doesn’t come close to the gold wrapped Audi R8 that shouts bling bling if you ask me.

Custom VW Jetta

At the 2010 Waterfest event this year, Volkswagen surprised tuning enthusiasts with the latest custom tuned VW Jetta. Already fitted with several parts from the Volkswagen Accessories catalog, the all new 2011 Jetta received a new front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, rear spoiler lip, and a black wheel package. When looking at the exterior styling, you will see similar traits of Audi lineage in the design, but mostly in the rear design and taillights. As we speak, the media is now testing the 2011 VW Jetta, which I’m sure we’ll have some interesting reviews once Volkswagen launches their ad campaigns. This custom tuning also shows the fact that there are some die-hard fans of Volkswagen of America, capable of modifying any new car they can get their hands on.

Novitec Tridente Maserati Quattroporte S and Sport GT S

The German tuners from Novitec Tridente have released a new styling and performance package for the Maserati Quattroporte S and Sport GT S. With the addition of their new compressor technology, they were able to boost the power output to 590 hp with a peak torque rating of 572 Nm. Additionally, the styling and driving dynamics were improved on the Maserati. First, Novitec adapted a cogged-belt-driven mechanical charger on the 4.7-liter engine, then limited the boost to 0.35 bar. Keeping it cool in the engine bay is a water-to-air intercooler setup with its own dedicated water circulation system. Now that’s some high tech stuff for a boosted sports car! The Novitec Maserati Quattroporte S was rounded out with a custom intake manifold and larger injectors to complete the performance tuning.

HKS Honda CR-Z hybrid sports car?

The Honda CR-Z is not your typical sports car, but holding hybrid capabilities and the structure to be easily modified makes this the perfect tuning project for the world renowned HKS company. When it comes down to performance figures, the Honda CR-Z isn’t all that impressive, but HKS is now in the limelight for its top spec performance kits. They previously released the GT570 package for the Nissan GT-R, and now offer several tuner parts for the Honda hybrid. First, comes the Hypermax II suspension system, allowing the driver to adjust the ride height depending on the conditions to improve handling. This drops the car up to 37 mm, while HKS focused on the 1.5-liter petrol engine to produce more power.

AC Schnitzer BMW Z4

Take the first ascent of the 8,848 metre high Mount Everest, the expeditions to the poles or the dive into the 11 km deep canyon of the Mariana Trench. There have always been individuals and extreme characters who have pushed our boundaries and discovered new terrain. An extreme region for automotive tuners, where only a few venture, has always been the BMW M-series cars, in particular the uncompromising Z4 M-Coupé, a thoroughbred driving machine.

But the fact that the limits of this extraordinary car are far from reached is evident from the new concept vehicle by AC Schnitzer - the PROFILE - even at first glance. Classic engine tuning hauls the power of the high-revving six-cylinder in-line plant to a robust 350 HP. Not only is a special "active breathing" airbox used, but the engine control unit has been remapped. But power alone isn't enough to get the maximum from an athletic heart. So the modified rear axle ratio of 3.91:1 provides better sprint capacity, while the perfectly smooth transmission with the AC Schnitzer Short Shift ensures crisp changes by the driver.

And as you listen to the sonorous baritone note of the left/right sports exhaust system with the trapezoid tailpipes, you could be deceived into thinking that the driver is not changing gears, but playing some kind of a musical instrument. A feast for all the senses: Visually the stunning colour combination of white-orange casts its spell and perfectly enhances the exquisite contours of the AC Schnitzer bodykit. From the front skirt with its suggestive cup-wings via the widened wheelarches and flanks with the gill-like vents - as already used on the legendary BMW 507- the dynamic line is drawn over the bulging side skirts to the rear skirt with carbon diffuser.

The whole is crowned by a rear spoiler and a fascinatingly styled roof wing. The forged alloy Type V wheels from the standard AC Schnitzer collection are a work of art in themselves. Filigree design yet with an air of solidity, in size 9.0J x 20" at the front and 10.0J x 20" at the rear, these wheels are the perfect adornment combined with tyres size 235/30 ZR 20 front and 295/25 ZR 20 rear.

But traction alone isn't everything, and the dynamics are supported by the AC Schnitzer suspension with its racing heritage, set up in the Green Hell of the Nürburgring. An aluminium strut brace in "Racing" style not only catches the eye but limits the torsion of the front body. Thanks to the AC Schnitzer racing seats, the driver always holds position. And the carbon interior trim and pedal set, with decor elements of aluminium, radiate pure racing flair. Could there be a better place to experience the limits of potential?

MTM Audi RS5

Even though the Audi RS5 was recently released, the tuners from MTM have been some of the first to launch a tuning program for the car that is confirmed on the U.S market in 2012. The German specialists just unveiled their initial package that includes a few improvements. First, the styling upgrades consist of a 19 or 21-inch wheel kit, 20 mm spacers for a wider stance, and an aftermarket exhaust with throttle valves. The Audi RS5 performance figures weren’t raised, however the tuning company removed the cars speed limiter. But the price to have this done is a little too much for the average joe.

G-Power BMW M6 Hurricane CS

German car tuning company G-Power delivered the power with this BMW M6, breaking the world record for fastest sedan at a top speed of 370 km/h or 231 mph. Naming it the Hurricane CS, this is the fastest BMW coupe in the world with a powerful twin supercharged V10 engine delivering 750 hp and 590 ft-lbs of torque. To get these astounding numbers out of a BMW, the engineers at G-Power had to install belt driven ASA T1-316 superchargers, and forged pistons from Mahle were used to reduce compression. The pistons from Mahle are exactly the same weight as the stock pistons, however significantly stronger to handle the extra boost from the superchargers. To optimize the V10 engine, a remapping of the ECU was needed for the superchargers.
